PANGASH FILLET (2)
Pangasius is a special variety of freshwater fish and is currently the tenth most consumed fish in the US (according to Seafood Health Facts)! Pangasius is the scientific name for freshwater catfish typically found in areas such as Vietnam and Cambodia.
Our Pangasius fillets have been prepared to make them both skinless and boneless. These fillets have then been vacuum packed into 2 fillet portions, with each fillet weighing around 227g: gross weight and 180g net weight. Our pangash fillets have been farmed in Vietnam.
In recent years, Pangasius has been recognised for it's cost effectiveness, health benefits and levels of Omega-3. It is a fish which is: rich in protein, average in fat, low in saturated fats, contains low cholesterol with around 60% of the total calorie count being taken up by protein and 40% by fat.
