Hoisin sauce is a great way to add an authentic Asian flavor and thickening to a stir-fry or noodle dish, and it can also be used as a dipping sauce for egg rolls, spring rolls, or other vegetarian appetisers
Stir Fry Chicken, 15 minutes, serves 4
1tbsp Hoisin Sauce, 1tsp sesame oil, 4 garlic cloves crushed, 1 red pepper, 80g cashew nuts, 1/2tsp salt (optional), spring onion, chicken (enough for 4)
Marinade the chicken in the Hoisin Sauce for 10 minutes, stir fry the garlic and onion, add the chicken and then the rest of the ingredients until cooked and golden. Serve with boiled rice.
