Swordfish is a particularly popular fish for cooking. Since swordfish are large animals, meat is usually sold as steak portions, which are often grilled. Swordfish meat is relatively firm and can be cooked in ways more fragile types of fish cannot such as on skewers 

Our swordfish is both boneless and skinless, each portion weighing 170-230g, up to 5 portions per pack. Packing an impressive 20g of protein per 100g its great for those on a high protein diet. 

Swordfish is said to have a mildly sweet flavouring, along with a meaty and moist texture. The taste is not too overpowering and works well in different dishes.

Serving Suggestions

Once defrosted, prepare and consume immediately or within 24hrs

  1. Season the lemon and olive oil mixture with salt and pepper, to taste. Brush the swordfish steaks with 2 tablespoons of the lemon and olive oil mixture. Grill the steaks until just cooked through, about 3 minutes per side (depending on thickness of steaks). Transfer the steaks to plates.
